n the spring of 2003 I walked from St-Jean-Pied-de-Port to Santiago de Compostela following the «Camino Francés», a distance of around 280 kilometers. There are several ways towards Santiago de Compostela, but this is the most known en walked route. I had taken seven weeks leave of absence and intended to walk in five weeks to Santiago. Afterwards I wanted to travel along the north coast of Spain to Hendaye, where I could take the train back to Holland. Finally the «pilgrimage» had gone smoothly, without blisters or other inconveniences, so I could look back on a succesful journey.
